Seasons Greeting`s

Dear EUFEPS members,

a very special year will now come to an end. In addition to the usual highs and lows, there was only one subject that dominated us. Many direct encounters were not possible and for this reason we unfortunately had to cancel our meetings this year.

During this difficult time, we focused on the essentials – our members.

We have established two new initiatives to strengthen the collaboration with our members. The new format "EUFEPS TALKS" will be a virtual scientific meeting every second month. The meeting will be open for EUFEPS members and scientists from EUFEPS member societies. The new format “EUFEPS FORUM” is a virtual meeting every second month with contributions from the Member-Societies, Networkleader, EUFEPS Secretariat and News from the EurSci4Health Platform.

EUFEPS plays an important role EUFEPS in medicines research, education, training and science policy at the European level. Therefore, we have brought forward the European Science for Health platform (EurSci4Health) together with our 6 partners. Its objective is to advise scientific policies for health, within European institutions, in order to facilitate the integrated development, regulation and use of diagnostics, therapeutics and other health technologies.

Another ambition of the new Executive Committee concerns meetings and events. Therefore, we are taking the Annual Meeting 2021 virtual and will be happy to welcome you to the first virtual Annual Meeting on June 7-9 in collaboration with Chalmers University of Technology, AstraZeneca, Swedish Drug Delivery Forum and Swedish Pharmaceutical Society. Also the planning of EuPAT10 is in full speed and the new date for meeting will be October 4 – 6, 2021, having the original conference venue in Gothenburg. The GBHI meeting series will also be continued in 2021. The 5th meeting in this series is planned for the beginning of December 2021 in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

Let's use the time now to recharge our batteries and review the year. Let's think of the rare but always inspiring encounters with great people.

And above all: Let's enjoy the moments that put a smile on our faces.
