EUFEPS PhD students competition 2025

For the third time, EUFEPS organized a competition between PhD candidates from different member societies. In total, 11 candidates competed in a special session by giving an overview of their work in 5 min. The jury members, Dr. Mareike Lutz Sauer (Chalmers, Sweden), Prof. Dr. Thierry Langer (University of Vienna, Austria) and Prof. Dr. Gerd Folkers (ETH Zürich, Switzerland) asked a question to each candidate. Joanneke Overbeek (FIGON), Maximilian Molitor (Germany) and Ikbel Ben Alaya (Portugal) have been selected by the jury as the best three candidates.

As the first winner, Joanneke Overbeek presented her PhD thesis with the title "Off-label, but on-target: alternative dosing regimens in oncology". The second prize was awarded to Maximilian Molitor for his work on "Off-label, but on-target: alternative dosing regimens in oncology". And Ikbel Ben Alaya received the third prize for her work on "Polysaccharides of natural origin for site-specific drug release modulation".

The prizes are linked to a monetary donation of 1.000€, 750€ and 500€.
