Christmas Greetings

In 2023, EUFEPS experienced significant developments, including the formation of a new Executive Committee and the commencement of my presidency on January 1st. Doina Draganescu (Romania), Mareike Lutz (Sweden), Zeynep Şafak Teksin (Turkey), Anna Birna Almarsdóttir (Denmark), and Ildikó Bácskay also joined as new members of the Executive Committee.

The committee aims to strengthen EUFEPS research networks to enhance scientific collaboration in Europe, fostering joint projects, applying for European research grants, and developing education programs.

Face-to-face meetings resumed post-COVID, with successful events in Lisbon (EUFEPS Annual Meeting 2023) and Glasgow (11th EuPAT meeting in Glasgow, UK). The focus now shifts to the 2024 Annual Meeting in Debrecen, Hungary, centered around the theme 'Tradition and Innovation in Pharmaceutical Sciences.'

Importantly, EUFEPS is committed to supporting the next generation through the establishment of the 'EUFEPS-Mentoring Program' and a PhD competition, promoting academic and scientific excellence among young researchers who are the future academics.

These efforts underscore EUFEPS' crucial role in European medicines research, education, and science policy.

Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and a Happy 2024!

On behalf of the entire Executive Committee and the EUFEPS Secretariat,
Maria Blanco-Prieto, President
